Kathryn. Penick joined Raizner Slania LLP as an associate attorney to assist with the firm’s growing insurance recovery and mass tort practices.
Prior to joining the team, she was an associate attorney at a national firm, primarily handling complex litigation in various areas such as antitrust, pharmaceutical injury, and labor and employment.
She attended Tulane University Law School after graduating cum laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs.
While in law school Kathryn volunteered at pro bono organizations, one of which provides legal services for musicians and artists in New Orleans and the other to Tulane University students.
She also was a member of the Tulane Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property and had both her Note and Comment selected for publication, one of which was selected for reprint in the 2018 Intellectual Property Law Review by Thomson Reuters (West).
She was admitted to practice in Texas after graduation in 2019.
Though relatively new to Houston, she considers herself an honorary Texan, having maintained close relationships since her youth.
She looks forward to the opportunity to become more active in the community in the coming years.
