Biography

Josh Raizner is an Insurance Coverage Attorney with Raizner Slania, focusing his practice on representing clients in claims against major insurers and disaster recovery. He has also successfully represented clients in mass tort litigation against large institutions and corporations.  

He began his career at Kirkland & Ellis advising private equity firms and corporate clients across the full investment lifecycle from development to acquisition and divestiture, with a focus in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors and advising on over $50 billion in aggregate transactions.  Josh has also represented clients in partnership with an international nonprofit to secure relief for disasters caused by multinational corporations.  Josh is licensed in Texas and brings a broad base of industry exposure to efficiently advocate on behalf of his clients, focusing on a client-centered approach to find efficient and effective solutions. 

Education

Josh graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, cum laude, from Colorado College. At Colorado College, he was a member of the varsity soccer and track teams, and recipient of the men’s soccer scholar athlete award. Josh attended Georgetown Law where he graduated cum laude. During law school, he served as a legal writing fellow, an executive editor of the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics, and member of the Georgetown Environmental Law and Justice clinic where advocated and assisted clients in front of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.
